Simon’s career is whole of life... having been born into the famous Hall family of Cosgrove Hall. Throughout his 29 year media career, Simon has been involved with many of their great series, including 9 times Bafta, RTS and Emmy winning productions of family entertainment shows.
Starting with Cosgrove Hall on Dangermouse and Noddy, he worked in both production and post-production on multiple award winning series for the BBC, ITV, Channel 5, Al Jazeera, Nickelodeon, Discovery Channel and Turners.
Children’s animation includes - The Wind in The Willows, Count Duckula, Postman Pat, Bob the Builder, Fifi and the Flowertots, Roary the Racing Car, Bill and Ben, Andy Pandy and The BFG.
Documentary films and series include – World in Action, Tibet’s secret mountain and Dispatches.
Drama and films include – Cracker, Pride and Prejudice, Prime Suspect, Far from the Madding Crowd and Crocodile shoes.
In 2009 he completed Peter Kay’s Animated All Star Band for the Children in Need charity, which resulted in a gold disc award.
Simon is a Co-founder of CHF Media Group, and remains a major shareholder, where he applied his many years of experience on the series Pip Ahoy! starring Sir David Jason. It is on air in China, with a further four series in development. He has a passion for innovation and is an accomplished entrepreneur.

Rachel brings twenty years’ business experience in finance, developing new opportunities and supporting businesses. She has worked for international accounting firms and latterly was head of practice development for Chantrey Vellacott DFK, now Moore Stephens - top 10 UK accountancy firms.
As a driving force behind generating new opportunities through external and internal relationships Rachel’s understanding of business and her personal network are an invaluable asset to the company.
Rachel brings her experience at running teams and deploying them into new countries and new market sectors. She was one of the first individuals to launch R&D Tax relief within the UK after working on French and Canadian claims. She then launched a Canadian Tax Consultancy throughout Europe and was head of this business. Clients included: BBC, ITV, Sky, Discovery Channel, Disney and Manchester United along with many other Blue Chip and global companies.
Rachel has the ability to identify new opportunities and has been instrumental in building the infrastructure over the last four years within CHF to complete the hugely successful first series Pip Ahoy!
Jean’s multi BAFTA and international Emmy award-winning career started at Cosgrove Hall. Originally an animator, she soon progressed to directing the classic series Danger Mouse and many others.
She has originated, produced and directed animated productions across a full spectrum of media from drawn 2D techniques, stop-frame puppets, 2D flash through to CGI and creating series, specials and feature productions for differing age groups within children’s television.
Jean’s unique creative talents include concept development, script editing, character design, styling and art direction.
Her proudest achievement is to have worked alongside the legendary Chuck Jones and to have directed the animated film “Peter and the Wolf” which achieved an Emmy, and top Children’s Film in the Chicago Film Festival. Jean was also Winner of the Best Director Silver Hugo for this show. In recent years Jean has produced Everythings Rosie, Everyone loves a Moose and Pip Ahoy!
A specialist in the pre-school entertainment market Ben has over thirty years’ experience in British and international animated productions. His long time association with Cosgrove Hall covers their most famous and classic series across all forms of animation media.
A award winning senior producer and art director, he acted as creative director of Cosgrove Hall Digital until 2006. Developing shows likr Little Robots for Lego media. Prior to re-joining CHF, as a freelance Art Director, Ben has worked on successful broadcast shows such as Chuggington (Ludorum PLC/CBeebies) and Everything’s Rosie (V&S Ltd/CBeebies).
Whilst at CHF Entertainment, Ben was both head of design and Senior development director, working on shows such as Pip Ahoy!, Magic Marlon, Herogliffix, Daisy and Ollie and many others.
He also created a major project, the ambitious and original ‘Horatio Genius For Hire’.
Ben sat on panels for Skillset and Media Training North West. Also the cross party forum in Westminster representing animation in the creative industries review.
Mike joined Cosgrove Hall in 1979 as studio manager and worked his way up to general manager and finally company director. Mike was involved in all of the major shows produced in that era which won many BAFTAS and International Emmys. The company also won a National Training Award.
In 1992, Mike set up his own animation consultancy specialising in project management and co-production. He has worked with broadcasters, production companies, distributors and investors with clients such as the BBC, HIT Entertainment, Film Finances, 2SidesTV, Aardman and Ravensburger (Germany).
Mike was one of the founder members of The British Animation Training Scheme (BATS) and is a chairperson for Cartoon Forum and Cartoon Movie. He is also a moderator for Cartoon Finance, Cartoon Cine and Cartoon Training for Trainers.
